Daily life in an industrial company

You sell technical products. Your sales process lives in Excel.

In manufacturing, a sale takes months, involves purchasing, engineering and management, and depends on data held in the ERP. If the CRM can’t see it, your sales team is working blind.

01

Quotes lost in inboxes

RFQs arrive by email, the technical office builds the quote in a spreadsheet and nobody knows where each one stands.

Costquotes sent that nobody chases

02

Trade-fair leads in a notebook

Every fair leaves a pile of business cards and notes that get entered weeks later, or never, and follow-up arrives once interest has cooled.

Costa trade fair with no measurable return

03

Distributors off the radar

You don’t know which opportunities went to each distributor, what they are selling or which end customers sit behind them.

Costan uncontrolled channel and territory clashes

04

Prices and stock only in the ERP

Sales reps phone the office to check price lists or availability, and once they close, someone re-keys the order into the ERP.

Costorder errors and days of delay

05

Long cycles with no memory

Months of conversations with several stakeholders, scattered between email and the rep’s head. If they change accounts or leave, the history goes with them.

Costopportunities that start again from scratch

06

Samples and after-sales untracked

Samples go out with no response date, and issues, warranty claims and returns are handled by email, far from the customer record.

Costsamples that don’t convert and customers who don’t reorder

Integrations

HubSpot connected to your ERP and your channels

The ERP stays in charge of prices, stock and invoicing; HubSpot owns the customer relationship. We agree which system is the source of truth for each field and sync both ways, with no duplicates.

How we implement it

From Excel and a siloed ERP to a CRM that sells on real data

Indicative timelines: 4 to 8 weeks for Sales Hub and 10 to 14 for complex projects, such as those integrating the ERP across several countries.

  1. Sales process audit

We talk to sales reps, the technical office, finance and channel managers to understand how each deal comes in, gets quoted and closes.

  2. Data model

We define products, families, distributors, orders and samples, and how they relate to accounts and deals. Custom objects where needed (available on Enterprise editions).

  3. ERP integration

We decide which system owns each field and connect prices, stock, orders and invoices with two-way sync, retries and a dry-run mode.

  4. Migration

We bring over accounts, contacts, quotes and history from Salesforce, Odoo, another CRM or Excel, with no duplicates.

  5. Testing with real cases

We test real quotes, orders and invoices with your team, by country and currency, before switching anything on.

  6. Training and support

We train each role, in Spain and in Italy, and keep improving with optional monthly support.

FAQs

Questions about CRM for manufacturing and industry

Is HubSpot a good CRM for a manufacturing company?

Yes, when it is configured for complex B2B sales. HubSpot can model products, distributors, samples and orders, support account-based selling and connect to your ERP. Out of the box it only has contacts, companies and deals: adapting it to your process is our job.

Can HubSpot connect to our ERP for prices, stock and orders?

Yes. We have already done it with Holded and Odoo, including for a manufacturer: when a deal is won, the contact and the invoice or pro forma with the quote’s line items are created in the ERP, and the number and PDF come back to HubSpot. If your ERP has an API, we will look at the integration.

How are distributors managed in HubSpot?

Each distributor is a company with its territory, terms and end customers linked through labelled associations. That lets you route opportunities by territory, see what has been passed to each one and measure sales by channel.

Can we build quotes with our own product lines?

Yes. We load your catalogue into the product library, ideally synced with the ERP, and quotes are built from its line items, discounts and terms. Quoting features and multiple currencies depend on the edition you subscribe to.

Does it work for sales teams in Spain and Italy?

Yes. We set up teams, permissions and pipelines by country, currencies, campaigns in each language and comparable reports. We work with clients in Spain and Italy and also train teams in Italian.

How long does a HubSpot implementation take for a manufacturer?

As a guide, 4 to 8 weeks for Sales Hub and 10 to 14 for complex projects, such as those involving ERP integration, migration and several countries. We firm this up after the initial audit.
